Almost all traditional nonstick 泛s get their nonstick properties via the chemical PTFE (polytetrafluoroethlene). Introduced commercially in 1949, Teflon by Dupont is one of the most well-known brand names for PTFE, which patented the chemical in 1945. PTFE is relatively stable only up to 500°F. Once temperatures surpass 500°F, PTFE begins to decompose and emit 多种有毒化学品.
